Feel like volunteering/touring an award winning building all in one stop?
The Architecture for Humanity DFW has set up a tour this Saturday, April 2nd from 10 am – 1 pm, of “The Bridge: a Homeless Assistance Center” followed by some volunteer opportunities.
The Bridge was designed by CamargoCopeland, the firm of Colombian Architect, and LiA member Myriam Camargo and San Antonio based Overland Partners.
The project is LEED silver and has received many national and international design awards including: American Institute of Architects? (AIA) 2009 National Housing Award, the AIA/Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Secretary Award, a 2009 National Excellence in Design Award from Environmental Design + Construction magazine and the 2009 Chicago Athenaeum's American Architecture Award.
